Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday emphasized the need for self -sufficiency of agriculture and called for the modernization of the sector through the combined efforts of qualified professionals and youth engagement.
Chairman of a high -level consultative meeting in Islamabad said the prime minister of Pakistan’s fertile country, experienced agricultural experts, and hard -working farmers provide a strong foundation for sector reform.
He emphasized that input in stakeholders will be incorporated into a coordinated strategy to improve productivity and sustainability.
Shehbaz highlighted the importance of promoting agro -based hut industries, small and medium -sized businesses (SMEs) and proper storage infrastructure to strengthen rural areas.
He noticed the current lack of storage of crops and in small scales, which suggested that their development could spur entrepreneurship among young people in rural areas and increase exports.
Participants in the meeting identified key areas for reform, including the adoption of digital tools and artificial intelligence.
Suggestions included expansion of smartphone and internet access in rural areas, creating a centralized farmer’s database and implementation of blockchain and QR coding systems to improve agricultural input delivery.
The discussion also covered the improvement of the soil’s fertility, promoting nutritious crops through scientific methods and the launch of training initiatives through public-private partnerships.
The meeting ended with a common commitment to engage youth, prioritize research and development and move towards national confidence in agriculture through cooperative actions.
PM invites friendly countries to invest in Pakistan
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited the friendly countries to invest in Pakistan’s mines and minerals, information technology and agricultural sectors.
He approached health, technology and minerals in Lahore, he assured to expand fullness to investors. He emphasized that these sectors offer prospects of profitable investments.
The Prime Minister, who refers to the reduction in inflation and political rates as well as electricity -stars, said this has created a conducive environment for investments in Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan Marsenes against growth and prosperity. He said that our country has a young population and that they are equipped with modern techniques and vocational education.
He said that Allah Almighty has awarded Pakistan very valuable natural resources and emphasized the need for joint ventures in mines and minerals.
