Islamabad:

Two multi-party delegations sent by Pakistan to central world capitals as part of its diplomatic offensive against India, their high-level interaction began with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-led delegation, holding conversations with China and Russia’s UN ambassadors in New York.

In the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, two separate delegations began their tour in New York, Washington, London, Brussels and Moscow to inform these countries about Pakistan’s attitude considering recent military escalation with India.

Bilawal, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) President, is currently in New York and leads a nine member’s delegation consisting of parliamentarians and former diplomats. Another delegation, led by special assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Tariq Fatemi, visits Moscow.

According to the Foreign Office, the delegations were planned to attend a number of meetings with the management of international bodies, public officials, senior officials, parliamentarians, think tanks, media and diaspora.

Bilawal started his two-day visit to New York with an interview with a foreign news channel. Later he met with China’s permanent representative of the FU Cong and Russia’s Permanent Representative Vassily Nebenziaand.

According to Express News, Bilawal thanked China for supporting Pakistan during the conflict with India. He assessed the Chinese ambassador for Pakistan’s responsible behavior after April 22 -attack in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) Resort of Pahagam.

Bilawal said India had rejected Pakistan’s offer of a transparent and impartial investigation into the attack. He emphasized that the solution of the Kashmir question was indispensable for a lasting peace in South Asia.

Pakistani delegation called on China to play its role in this regard. While expressing serious concerns about India’s targeting against Pakistani citizens during the four-day conflict, the delegation called on the international community to move beyond conflict management and against dispute resolution.

During the meeting, there was unanimity between both sides of conflicting unilateral actions and aggression. Both sides emphasized the need to respect the UN Charter, International Laws and Agreements. They also opposed India’s decision to arms.

The delegation included Dr. Musadik Malik; Sherry Rehman; Hina Rabbani Khar; Engr Khurram Dastgir Khan; Faisal Subzwari; Bushra Anjum Butt, Ambassador (Retd) Jalil Abbas Jilani and Ambassador (Retd) Tehmina Janjua.

Later, the delegation briefed Russia’s UN Ambassador about the situation following the Pahagam attack and rejected India’s baseless accusations against Pakistan without evidence and highlighted its premature and unilateral acts, including possession of the Indus Waters Treaty.

He noted that Pakistan’s measured and proportionate reaction – guided by restraint and international law – was aimed at maintaining regional peace and avoiding a wider conflict. He emphasized that Pakistan was the largest victim of terrorism where more than 80,000 civilians have lost their lives.

He also assessed the Russian diplomat on India’s sponsorship of terrorism inside Pakistan. He emphasized the sustainable peace in the region hanging on the fair and peaceful solution of Jammu and Kashmir -blanket in accordance with international law.

In the apartment, Climate Change Minister Musadik Malik highlighted the humanitarian implications of keeping the IWT in accordance. The delegation, which highlighted Pakistan’s mature and reluctant approach, repeated the country’s commitment to peace, dialogue and regional stability.

In an interview, Bilawal Pakistan’s desire for peace previously repeated through “dignity, strength and diplomacy” and called India’s actions after the Pahagam attack dangerously and a violation of international law.

“No lasting solution is possible without solving the Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, stressing that the current ceasefire should lead to permanent peace, which would come through the solution of Kashmir -Tvisten in accordance with the UN Security Council’s solutions and ambitions from Kashmiri people.

India’s unilateral decision to keep Indus Water Treacty (IWT) in violation violated international law and the obligations of the treaty. “By unilaterally suspending IWT India has set a dangerous precedent with consequences for regional peace and security,” he warned.

He added that Pakistan wanted the international community to play its role in facilitating the dialogue between Pakistan and India. “We are ready to talk to India about Jammu and Kashmir; IWT and Terrorism,” Bilawal pointed out.

He also said that Pakistan is a victim of terrorism; From political leadership to military to Pakistani citizens; We have been influenced by terrorism. “While India committed naked and obvious act of aggression by violating international border, Pakistan acted in self -defense,” he said.

The delegation’s US engagements on Tuesday included meetings with the US legislators, think tanks and media representatives. A meeting of Pakistani delegation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also on the cards.

The delegations’ visit aims to project Pakistan’s perspective on recent Indian aggression. The Foreign Office said they would attend a number of meetings with the management of international bodies, holders of public office, officials, parliamentarians, think tanks, media and diaspora.

“The delegations will highlight Pakistan’s responsible and reluctant behavior – seeking peace with responsibility – in the light of India’s reckless and belligerent actions. They will also highlight this dialogue and diplomacy should take precedence for conflict and confrontation,” the Foreign Office said.

“The delegations will emphasize the imperative of the international community to play its proper role in promoting a lasting peace in South Asia. The need for immediate resumption of the normal function of the Indus Waters Treaty will also be a central theme of the outreach of the delegations.”

Meanwhile, responded to media queries regarding a flurry of antagonistic statements from the Indian leaders as well as comments from the Indian spokesman for the Indian external affairs, spokesman for the foreign office said the facts could not be hidden by hollow tales.

The recent comments of the Indian leadership, including those made in Bihar, reflected a deeply troubled mindset that prioritized hostility over peace, the spokesman said. “Any attempt to produce Pakistan as the source of regional instability is divorced from reality,” he added.

According to spokesman for the Foreign Office, the international community was well aware of India’s list of aggressive behavior, including documented support for terrorist activities in Pakistan. “These facts cannot be hidden by hollow tales or redirection tactics.”

The spokesman stated that the Jammu and Kashmir conflict remained the core problem, and Pakistan would continue to advocate a fair and lasting decision to the dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council’s decisions and the hopes of the Kashmiri people.

“To paragraph this basic question is to condemn the region to continued distrust and potential confrontation,” he said. “The development in recent weeks has once again emphasized the complete utility of jingoism and coercion,” the spokesman said.

The spokesman emphasized that “India cannot and will not reach his goals” through threats, wrong representation or power, and said that Pakistan was just as resolved to defend his sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression.

“Durable peace in South Asia requires maturity, restraint and a willingness to tackle the fundamental causes of conflict – not the persecution of narrow political gains at the expense of regional harmony,” spokesman for the Foreign Office said.
