Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued a strong reprimand to India on Wednesday during a speech in the National Assembly and declared that any additional aggression would be met with even greater power, Express News reported News
“We shot down five of their fighter jets like mosquitoes,” he said, adding, “if they attack again, we will down more.” With reference to India’s cross -border strikes earlier this week, the former Foreign Minister said the attacks were carried out under the deck of darkness and called them Feige and a violation of international law.
“Only thieves and feuds attack at night,” he added. “India targeted unarmed children. This is not the old era where Pakistan could be felt a terrorist state and the world would believe it.”
He emphasized that for two weeks India had leveled accusations against Pakistan after a deadly incident in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). “Our prime minister offered to hold investigations, but India did not accept the proposal or presented any evidence. Instead, it chose to strike,” he said.
Bilawal also addressed asymmetry in size and strength between the two nations and said, “Yes, India is bigger in size and numbers, and it acts out of arrogance. But the resilient people in Pakistan open India’s eyes. We are not advocates of war, but if you attack our unpredicted civilians, Pakistan will answer.”
He concluded by stating that Pakistan, during the charter of the United Nations, reserves the right to defend himself and expressed full support to the Pakistani government and armed forces in responding to Indian aggression. “The whole nation is united with the armed forces and the government,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Pakistan’s armed forces praised for their rapid military reaction to an Indian air striker and declared that Pakistan air weapons made a “dark night” a “lunar -lit a” in return against the attempt at incursion.
When he spoke during the NA session, Prime Minister Shehbaz accused India of launching a cross-border attack under the deck of darkness, similar to what he described as previously “Feige” endeavors.
“The enemy state India again tried to attack Pakistan in the dark at night,” the prime minister told legislators. “But the Pakistani army reacted hard and made the dark night a lunar -lit one.”
PM Shehbaz confirmed that Indian warplane targeted areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including near Sialkot, and said 80 Indian aircraft were involved. He claimed that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) immediately responded and shot down five Indian jets.
“Our eagles were on full alarm,” he said. “As soon as the Indian aircraft dropped payload, our eagles swung in and shot down five jets. Pakistan received great honor.”
The prime minister said that those who claimed that we had fallen afterwards in conventional warning must have come to their sense now. “We shot down five jets – it could have been ten – but our Falcons traded with caution,” said prime minister.
