Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces end joint exercise ‘Affaa Al Sahel VII’

The joint bilateral training exercise “Affaa Al Sahel VII” between the special operations forces (sofs) of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) and the Special Service Group (SSG) from the Pakistani Navy that was completed on a high note in Karachi with an intense final testing exercise ( FTX).

Back Admiral Faisal Amin, the Commander Coast of Pakistan Navy and senior military officials from both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia participated in the final exercise that highlighted the advanced operational skills of both forces.

The exercise contained joint live-brand exercises, precision attacks and dynamic rappeling maneuvers in a simulated environment with high threat.

The focus of the exercises included reactions with the fight against terrorism, hostage rescue operations and coordinated maritime interventions, testing the ability of the forces to work seamlessly together under pressure.

The exercise held over several days highlighted the tactical skill of both the RSNF and SSG (N) teams in complex maritime operations at high risk.

The successful conclusion of Affaa Al Sahel VII denotes the strengthening of maritime cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which further improves the interoperability of their sofs in tackling common security challenges.

The exercise aimed to strengthen both nations’ capabilities to tackle the maritime security threats and improve the effectiveness of their combined forces.
