According to ISPR, reminiscent of naval operations during Marka-e-HaqAdmiral Ashraf stated that the Pakistan Navy “was ready to sink the Indian Navy aircraft carrier, forcing the Indian Navy to remain withdrawn in their perceived safe havens,” sending a clear message that any challenge to Pakistan’s maritime security will be met decisively.

Concluding his address, the naval chief extended best wishes to the crew of PNS KHAIBAR and reaffirmed the Pakistan Navy’s resolve “to defend sovereign waters and uphold its responsibility as the guardian of the maritime borders”, the statement added.

The induction of PNS KHAIBAR, along with the upcoming HANGOR-class submarines, marks a milestone in the fleet’s modernisation, enhancing operational flexibility, combat power and strategic reach.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep satisfaction and pride over the introduction of the modern warship PNS KHAIBAR in the fleet of the Pakistan Navy, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

He described the development as a milestone in strengthening Pakistan’s defense capabilities and ensuring effective protection of its maritime borders.

“A strong, balanced and technologically advanced Navy is indispensable to protect national interests and ensure secure Sea Lines of Communications,” he said.
