Pakistan’s youth network team wrapped an undefeated campaign by overlooking the Maldives 60-35 in the final of the Asian youth girls Netball Championship 2025 (Plate Division Cup) on July 4th.
The dominant performance at Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium so Pakistan control the match from the opening whistle, seal their seventh consecutive victory in the tournament and lift the title without a single defeat.
Pakistan opened strongly and took a commanding 17-5 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Their advantage grew steadily through the match, with the scoreboard, which read 34-17 at the break and 45-23 in the third quarter. The Maldives were never able to close the gap where Pakistan maintained tranquility and pace everywhere.

The team with Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Sumayya, Alina, Amani, Parisa and Farah Rasheed delivered a balanced and disciplined performance where each player contributed to the team’s success.
The last ended a week’s long competition held during the Asian Netball Federation, which ran from June 27 to July 4 in Jeonju.
Pakistan’s victory in the record department adds the country’s growing reputation in youth sports throughout the region.
Officials from Pakistan Netball Federation, including President Mudassir Arian, President Sameen Malik and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz, expanded congratulations to the team, calling the victory a proud moment for the sport in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expanded his congratulations to the team and called it a ‘big milestone’ for women’s sports in Pakistan.
