Islamabad:
Pakistan joined the international community on Thursday in the solemn marking of the international reminder day and tribute to the victims of terrorism and repeated its unwavering obligation to eliminate scourge in all its forms and manifestations.
The Foreign Office’s spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan said in a statement that the day serves as a reminder of collective responsibility to stand in solidarity with victims of terrorism, honor their memory and confirm the global decision against this threat.
He noted that Pakistan has been one of the most severely affected countries of terrorism suffering over 90,000 losses and financial losses exceeding $ 150 billion.
“Our security forces and people have shown unmatched resilience and victims victims not only to protect our homeland but also regional and global peace,” he added.
Ambassador Khan remembered the recent terrorist incidents, including Jaffar Express attack and bombing of a school bus in Khuzdar. He emphasized that terrorism in Pakistan is not an isolated phenomenon, but “orchestrated, planned and executed from cross -border.”
