London: Former Pakistan Senior Military Officer Brigadier (RETD) Rashid Naseer has told the British High Court that Pakistan’s leading intelligence agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and the military has nothing to do with incidents and accusations of kidnappings and torture in Pakistan.

The retired brigadis that became the evidence of the second trial as part of his defamation case against Major (Retd) Adil Raja, was crossed by Raja’s lawyer, Barrister Simon Harding, as well as Naseer’s lawyer David Lemer.

London High Court -Vicedomer Richard Spearman KC noted at the beginning of the trial the other day that he will not allow defamatory case investigation into Brigadier (RETD) Naseer’s case against Adil Raja to turn into a lawsuit against Pakistani politics. The judge noted that the case is defamation of an individual (retired brigadis naseer) and has nothing to do with the overall political situation in Pakistan or the role of the military or ISI. The judge pushed Raja’s lawyer to admit that Adil Raja had no truth defense. Immediately afterwards, Raja withdrew the truth defense, which means he cannot claim that any of the allegations against Rashid Naseer are true. The only remaining defense is general interest.

Answering Questions of Raja’s Lawyer, The Claimant Naseer Said: “Speaking about MYSELF. I have served in the intelligence service for a long time and i have never been involved in kidnapping, coercion, harassment and torture of anyone. Involved in Threats or Kidnappings of Journalists.

He continued: “My case is not about attenuating critics of the government, the military or journalists. Adil Raja became a journalist as cover because you can get away with a lot when you are a journalist. I have experienced a lot of physical and reputation. This is my personal endeavor to clear my name.”

The retired Brigadier said there are three categories of people from Britain who were concerned after Adil Raja announced the alleged defamatory material about him.

“My immediate family, such as my nephew and nies who felt threatened. My big family was concerned, and many of those who supported PTI and Imran Khan believed that these allegations were true. The third category is those who still serve in the intelligence community of the United Kingdom;

“My immediate family was concerned, they thought their security would be jeopardized in London. I had a great relationship with British intelligence staff and worked with them in moderrorism; we developed and worked together on terrorist operations, including the threats to British national security and vice versa. We neutralized these threats. -The official officer.

“My future plans were in danger. My name and pictures are out and my name is obsessed as a result of these claims. This has made me feel vulnerable. I have received death threats and my family members have gone through the same. The person who came to murder me was arrested.

The case is based on nine publications. By the decision to the importance of the publications in April 2024, Deputy Judge Richard Spearman KC had decided that Brig (Ret) Naseer was defamated in the British joint law when Adil Farooq Raja made the following claims without proof, in the Publications in June 2022: (1) Rashid Naseer had taken full control of Lahore High Court Court; (2) Rashid Naseer had reportedly had several meetings with Asif Ali Zardari to discuss election manipulation; (3) Rashid Naseer will be removed at the right time by soldiers who work hidden leaking information about the actions and movements of such human beings; (4) Brigadier Rashid Naseer worked against PTI candidates; (5) Rashid Naseer is part of a carefully persecuted process created by military and intelligence officers to rig elections; (6) Rashid Naseer has abused his attitude by means of enormous non -meant funds to secure PDM’s victory; (7) Rashid Naseer abuses his attitude to harass the PTI supporters during the PTI election; (8) Rashid Naseer has sinned and destroyed his chances of the promised life in the following; (9) Rashid Naseer had led the police to make his command by making a baseless claim of bribery; (10) Rashid Naseer is directly involved in political interference; (11) Brigadier Rashid Naseer registered a complaint against Adil Raja to honor him; (12) Rashid Naseer got Adil Raja’s brother -in -law; and (13) He played a prominent role in the regime shift.
