Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi warned on Tuesday that Pakistan would respond with twice as much strength if provoked by India, in the midst of rising regional tensions.

In a speech with journalists in Islamabad, Naqvi was asked what Pakistan’s reaction would be if India initiated hostile actions. “If India tries any evil, the answer will be two for one,” he said, issuing a strict message.

He also confirmed that Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team is not traveling to India for ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 in September.

With reference to the recent attack on the Jaffar Express train, the Interior Minister said there was evidence of Indian involvement, adding that the prime minister of the inner Talal Chaudhry would soon inform the media with further details.

Naqvi also commented on the Pahagam attack in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where he said the incident reflects wider intentions and agendas from India.
