Foreign office on Monday criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks about regional peace and called them “misleading and unilateral” while accused New Delhi of ignoring the Kashmir tvist.

Modi said in a podcast interview with American Podcaster Lex Fridman that India’s efforts to establish peace with Pakistan had been “met with hostility and treason.” He expressed hope that “wisdom would prevail” in Islamabad to improve the bilateral connections.

In response, Pakistan’s foreign office rejected Modi’s comments and accused India of promoting a “fictional tale of victim” while being involved in accelerating militaryness on Pakistani soil and suppressing dissent in Indian-managed Kashmir.

“Instead of blaming others, India should reflect on its own registration of orchestration of targeted assaults, undermining and terrorism in foreign territories,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.

Pakistan’s foreign office repeated its attitude to solve all excellent problems, including Jammu and Kashmir, through “constructive commitment and results -oriented dialogue.” Fo -spokesman also referred to accusations against Indian agents of planning murders abroad.

Fo further stated that peace and stability in South Asia remain “hostage to India’s stiff approach and hegemonic ambitions.” “The Anti-Pakistan narrative, which originates from India, distinguishes the bilateral environment and hinders the prospects of peace and cooperation,” it said. “It has to stop.”

In January 2024, Pakistan accused India of “extraterratory” and “extracurricular” killing of two of its citizens on Pakistani soil. Islamabad has long accused New Delhi of supporting militaryness in his Western provinces, especially Balochistan.
