Pakistan secured videos of six abandoned Indian jets, says Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday praised Pakistan’s intelligence agencies for their critical role in recent conflict with India and claimed they had early access to enemy plans and even obtained video footage of six Indian aircraft shot down.

The recent confrontation between the two neighboring countries triggered by the Pahagam attack marked one of the most serious escalations for decades and pushed the nuclear armed rivals to the brink of full-scale war. The conflict resulted in civilian losses on both sides before diplomatic efforts managed to draft tensions.

During the exchange, Pakistan Air Force shot down six Indian aircraft, including a French-made Rafale fighter jet. A senior French intelligence officer later confirmed the loss of at least one rafale – which marked the aircraft’s first known match.

Naqvi spoke at a seminar organized by Professor Waris Mir Foundation at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Naqvi said, “Our intelligence agencies’ role was so important … We knew what they planned, which aircraft they would use.” He added, “Within minutes we received video footage of all six aircraft shot down.”

The Minister revealed that intelligence agencies received detailed information about India’s plans well in advance, including sensitive intelligence and operational documents.

“We used to have every detail of India’s decisions and papers in advance. Later, when their flight was shot down, it was decided that until we had evidence, we would not announce how many flights had been discontinued. We needed field certificate – and believe me, within minutes, was the proof with us. We have videos of six Indian planes that were shot down.”

Naqvi attributed part of Pakistan’s success during the conflict to divine intervention. “India fired seven missiles on one of our large bases containing valuable assets. Everyone was concerned, but not a single missile landed inside the base – some fell before reaching, some outside and some to the side,” he said.

He added that when Pakistan reciprocated, its missiles hit an Indian oil storage depot without causing civilian losses. “This was purely the help of Allah,” he said.

He also praised Pakistan’s military leadership, especially Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Naqvi remembered a meeting with a visitor Saudi delegation that included military and government officials. The field marsh, he said, told them, “India is like a shiny Mercedes, but we are like a dumping car filled with stone. Now imagine what happens when the two collide.”

Naqvi, which highlighted the unique unit of Pakistan’s leadership, said, “For the first time in Pakistan’s history, the army, the Air Force and Navy devised a common strategy and fought the war under a plan.” He contrasted this with India’s broken command structure, where military bosses reportedly operated independently.

Naqvi also appointed Ajit Doval and Amit Shah as the true Masterminds behind the Escalation of the Indian Government. “These are the two men behind it all, and they will drown India as well as Modi,” he warned.

He emphasized the domestic political unity in the middle of the crisis: “On Pakistan’s side, all political parties were united … all were in contact and supportive.” According to Naqvi, Pakistani leaders surpassed the Indian delegation’s attempt to lobby internationally and noted, “Our PPP chairman outweighs them.”

The minister also accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan, claiming that India was using the war to suppress Kashmiris. He praised the resilience that the Prime Minister showed and national leadership in responding firmly and said they defied pressure not to retaliate.

The seminar also contained addresses of Senate President Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani and Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.
