Pakistan’s Prime Minister of Interior, Talal Chaudhry, has confirmed the country’s obligation to improve global cooperation on effective border management.

“Pakistan is obliged to strengthen global cooperation on effective border management and tackle the challenges of illegal immigration,” said Chaudhry at a dinner hosted by British home secretary Yvette Cooper.

Chaudhry is in England to attend a meeting with more than 40 countries and organizations, including the United States, France and Vietnam, aiming to coordinate global efforts to counter illegal migration and the human-smuggling gangs that serve it.

He turned to the event that hosted in honor of visiting ministers, and emphasized the importance of dealing with the challenges presented to illegal immigration as part of Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen international cooperation on these critical issues.

Chaudhry held discussions with Yvette Cooper about different bilateral questions focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister is ready to hold more key meetings with British home secretary and domestic ministers from other countries.

The event focuses on topics such as effective border management, prevention of illegal immigration and improving bilateral relationships.

When he expressed his views, Chaudhry repeated that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have emphasized strict measures to border security and immigration control to ensure national stability and security.
