Pakistan shot down two Indian Air Force (IAF) jets early Wednesday in retaliatory attacks following Indian missile attacks on cities in Punjab and Azad Kashmir, who martyr at least 3 Pakistanis and wounded 12 others.
The Indian strikes come in the midst of increased tensions between the nuclear armed neighbors in the wake of an attack on tourists leaving 26 dead in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s (IIOJK) Pahaldam.
“Pakistani armed forces provide an appropriate answer to Indian aggression,” said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director-General LT Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.
The Pakistan army destroyed an Indian army brigade headquarters according to security sources. A missile strike of Pakistani forces also wiped out a enemy post in the dhundial sector for the control line (LOC), the sources added.
Security sources also said that the Pakistani Air Force and the Pakistani army gave a “strong and decisive answer” to India’s Feige attack.
Sources said the Pakistani army also shot into the Indian drone in the Barnala sector along the border between fact.
Sources told Pakinomist News that the blood of innocent Pakistanis would be avenged at all costs, having so far only civilian and unarmed citizens who have been targeted by India. They reiterated that the sacrifice of any innocent Pakistani will be avenged.
Shortly after midnight, explosions were heard in several cities, including Kotli, Bahawalpur, Murideke, Bagh and Muzaffarabad, state media reported.
LT Gen Chaudhry announced shortly after the Indian armed forces performed missile attacks across cities in Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
By slamming India -attack, the military spokesman said, “All of our Air Force Rays are airborne. This is a shameful and feigt attack carried from India’s airspace.”
“They were never allowed to penetrate the Pakistan’s airspace”.
“Let me say that unequivocally, Pakistan will answer this [attack] At a time and a place where it chose, “warned DG ispr.” This provocation will not be unanswered. “

Just after midnight, high explosions were reported in the mountainous region near Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, according to Reuters witnesses. The blasts triggered a city -covered power outage and threw the area in the dark.
“There is temporary happiness that India has achieved with this Feige attack, which will be replaced with sustained grief,” said the military spokesman, who signaled a strong reaction from Pakistan to the attack.
In a speech with foreign media, federal Minister of Information Atta Tarar confirmed on Tuesday that Pakistan has shot two Indian fighter jets in response to cross -border aggression.
He said that the Pakistani armed forces provide an “appropriate and strong” response to Indian hostilities.
“India has deliberately targeted civilian populations, which is a clear violation of international laws,” he added.
Tarar also said that India has no evidence to support his claims about the Pahaldam attack.
‘Pakistan reserves the right to respond correctly’
In a statement, the Foreign Office said in an unprovoked and obvious act of war, the Indian Air Force, while remaining within the Indian airspace, violated Pakistan’s sovereignty using the standoff weapons, targeting civilian population across the international border in Muridke and Bahawalpur and across control in Kotli and Muzaffarabad, Azad Mammu and Kashmir.
“India’s aggression has resulted in the martyrdom of civilians, including women and children. This action has also created serious threat to commercial air traffic,” said FO spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan.
“We strongly condemn India’s Feige act, which is an obvious violation of the UN-Charter, international law and established norms for intermediate relations.”
In the wake of Pahagam attacks, the Indian leadership has once again used the Bogey of Terrorism to promote his shame of victim, in danger of regional peace and security, FO said that added that India’s reckless act has brought the two nuclear armed states closer to a major conflict.
“The situation continues to develop. Pakistan reserves the right to respond correctly at a time and place of its choices in accordance with article-51 in the UN Charter and as laid down in international law.”
It also said: “The government, armed forces and people in Pakistan are united in the light of Indian aggression. They will always trade with Iron Resole to protect and preserve the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Pakistan.”
Pakistan-India tension
The two nuclear armed neighbors are experiencing a period of increased tensions since the attack on April 22 on tourists in the scenic resort where at least 26 people were killed.
New Delhi connected Islamabad to the attack without giving evidence and taking a flurry of punitive measures to downgrade ties, including suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, recall of Pakistanis and close Wagah-Attari border transition among others.
In response, Islamabad ordered the deportation of Indian diplomats and military advisers, canceled Visa for Indian citizens, with the exception of the Sikh pilgrims and closure of the main limit transition on its part.
Pakistan also denies his commitment to the attack and offered to participate in a credible and transparent investigation.
Pakistan has warned that it had credible intelligence reports on military action from India for the next few days.
This is an evolving story and will be updated with further details.
