Pakistan suggests a bilateral trade agreement with zero-duty

Pakistan has proposed a bilateral trade agreement with zero customs with the United States with the aim of expanding trade conditions across multiple sectors.

The development comes in the wake of a ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, broken by US President Donald Trump.

After the ceasefire, President Trump praised the leadership of both countries and expressed interest in expanding trade with both nations.

The recent ceasefire ended several days of cross -border hostilities that marked the most serious military escalation between Pakistan and India for almost three decades. The conflict began after India performed air strikes in Pakistan after an attack on April 22 in IIOJK, killing 26 tourists.

Pakistan denied any involvement in the Kashmir incident and condemned India’s strikes, which Islamabad claimed targeted civilian areas. In response, Pakistan launched the military operation of a retirement named “Operation Bunyan-Un-Marsoos”, which targeted Indian military locations in several regions.
