Pakistan tells OIC broadcasts that India poses ‘serious threat’ against South Asian Peace

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, has warned that India’s actions constitute “serious threats” for peace and stability in South Asia, during a briefing for the organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) group of ambassadors in New York.

In a statement issued by Pakistan mission to the UN, Ambassador Ahmad India’s behavior described as “very provocative, politically motivated and irresponsible.” He emphasized the seriousness of the regional situation and urged Member States to take note of India’s attitude and its consequences for prolonged peace.

The organization of Islamic Collaboration (OIC) broadcasts expressed unanimous support and solidarity with Pakistan, who repeated their commitment to the principles of peace and justice.
