Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Wednesday that Pakistan will speed up his national development by providing opportunities and resources to his youth, especially in the agricultural sector.
When he spoke at a ceremony in Islamabad, the Prime Minister announced that the government would send 300 students – elected from a group of 1,000 agricultural educated – to China for special education in modern agricultural techniques.
PM Shehbaz emphasized that young people are the nation’s greatest asset and that investing in their skills is crucial to regaining Pakistan’s rightful place in the world.
“These students will acquire advanced expertise abroad and then contribute to national progress when they return,” he said. “We aim to transform rural areas by equipping our youth with modern knowledge and entrepreneurial opportunities.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that the candidates, after completing their education, will be invited to launch entrepreneurial enterprises in their respective areas, especially in rural areas.
The government, he said, will give them subsidies, facilities and low -interest rates to support these initiatives.
PM Shehbaz praised China as Pakistan’s closest allies and expressed gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping for agreeing to host the Pakistani students. He said his visit to an agricultural university in XI’s hometown had revealed remarkable facilities and technological advances.
He urged the candidates to study China’s agricultural development model and bring his best practice back to Pakistan to help increase productivity and exports.
The prime minister added that students elected to the training program come from all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, and confirmed that the selection process was completely merit based.
PM Shehbaz repeated the government’s obligation to increase agricultural capacity and ensure youth -related innovation for long -term national growth.
