Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Sunday, reviewing Pakistan – Türkiye bilateral cooperation and discussing regional and international developments.

According to a foreign office statement, both sides expressed serious concern about the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Dar condemned Israel’s plan for a complete military acquisition, signifying it a violation of international law and the united nations’ security council’s decisions.

He emphasized the urgent need for unobstructed humanitarian help and an end to what he called Israeli impunity.

Previously, DAR called for the speed of the implementation of already agreed proposals and development projects, and emphasized the need for timely action and coordination across relevant ministries under the Pakistan-Turkiye Partnership.

DAR was chairman of a high-level meeting in the Committee on improving Pakistan-Türkiye Bilateral engagement.

During the meeting, the committee was informed of progress in several areas of bilateral cooperation, including finances, trade, industry, education, health, energy, defense, infrastructure and connection.
