Pakistan, UAE -sign mou about Visa -Exemption

The 12th session in the Pakistan-Uae Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), which underwent the full extent of bilateral relations, agreed on concrete measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, banking, investments and other sectors.

Held in Abu Dhabi Tuesday, the meeting was co -chair of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister for UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Prior to the formal procedure, a working group meeting was held with JMC under the leadership of special assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa and Uaes Prime Minister Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh.

The Joint Ministerial Commission agreed on concrete measures to strengthen cooperation in culture, aviation, railways, energy, food security, climate change, defense, healthcare, labor, higher education and information technology.

Both sides emphasized the improvement of institutional mechanisms and the promotion of inter -ministerial coordination.

Held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and fraternity included the session exchanges on regional and global development.

Both sides confirmed their commitment to peace and stability in the region.

A protocol that outlines a procedural framework for follow -up actions, coordination through sector -based working groups and relief for mutual visits was also signed.

In addition to the protocol for the session, Memoranda on understanding of “mutual exemption from requirements for entrance visa” and “establishing a common task force to promote investment” as well as an agreement on “artificial intelligence and digital economy” signed.

Both parties expressed satisfaction with the results and agreed to hold the 13th session of JMC in Pakistan on mutually agreed dates.

The successful call of the JMC session emphasizes the deeply rooted and multifaceted relationship between Pakistan and UAE and their common vision for a dynamic and progressive partnership.

BPC

The second round of bilateral political consultations (BPC) between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, underwent the full range of bilateral relations and confirmed their decision to further strengthen cooperation across several sectors.

The two sides discussed regional and global development of mutual interest and repeated their commitment to improved coordination and dialogue on multilateral forums.

The Pakistan delegation was led by Shehryar Akbar Khan, further foreign secretary (the Middle East), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the UAE side was led by Reem Ketait, Vice -President Assistant Minister of Political Affairs, the Foreign Office spokesman said in a press release.

The extra foreign secretary emphasized the importance of elaborating on the strong fraternal bonds between Pakistan and UAE, built on common values, mutual respect and common interests.

Both sides appreciated the positive trajectory for bilateral connections and expressed satisfaction with the progress made under existing institutional mechanisms, including the common ministerial commission (JMC) and regular management level exchanges.
