Pakistani senior tennis player Talha Waheed has officially joined the Guinness World Records, which sets a new benchmark for the most successful tennis serving in a minute (man).
Talha has won several national titles in the 35+, 40+ and 45+ Doubles categories.
Internationally, he has participated in the ITF Senior World Ranking tournaments and reached a career high placement of 144 in the 40+ doubles category.
Talha tried to surpass the previous record of 42 successful servant in a minute held by John Perry from the United States since 2019. After an intensive three-month training program, he made his official attempt on November 8, 2024 in Lahore, which complied with Guinness World Record’s guidelines.
On March 10, 2025, Guinness World Record’s Talha’s performance confirmed and officially recognized him as the new world record holder.
Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, together with Secretary General Col. Zia-out-Din Tufail and other PTF officials, congratulated Talha with his milestone.
“Talha’s performance is unique and securing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records is no easy task,” said Qureshi. “This will serve as a great inspiration and a big boost for tennis in Pakistan.”
