Pakistaniers impress with 6 medals by Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2025

Pakistan’s Bano Kousar got gold in the women’s 48 kg Contact Ju-Jitsu category at the 2025 Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship, which was held in Amman, Jordan.

Kousar triumphed over India’s Richa Sharma in a closely disputed final and marked a prominent moment for Pakistan in the tournament.

Kousar’s victory on Day 3 in the competition was a highlight of Pakistani athletes competing in sporting competition worldwide.

Pakistan had gathered a successful excursion on the championship and secured a total of six medals across different categories.

The tournament, which contained over 800 athletes from 27 countries, so that Pakistan’s athletes deliver impressive performances and earned a gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

On the last day of the competition, Muhammad Yousuf and Umar Yaseen whistled silver medals in the U21 duo and showing men’s categories.

The duo lost narrowly to Thailand in the final after defeating Vietnam in the semi -finals.

This performance marks a significant milestone for Yousuf and Yaseen, who had previously won gold in the U18 category at the Championship in 2024.

M. Ali Rashid and M. Yousuf Ali also contributed to the medal and served a bronze in the Duo category and showing men.

Isra Waseem and Cainat Arif rounded the medal feature of Pakistan, each winning bronze medals in the duo and showing female categories.

Chairman of Pakistan Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Khalil Ahmed Khan, expressed his pride in the team’s performance.

“These medals are not only acknowledgments-they are proof that Pakistani Jiu-Jitsu athletes meet international standards. We are proud of our athletes, coaches and support staff who worked tirelessly to achieve this success,” he said.
