Islamabad:
The Foreign Office on Saturday said that all elements of national power remained obliged to secure Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a press release, following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, the spokesman said the armed forces were obliged to take all measures to defend the motherland, its citizens and to help secure Pakistan’s vital national interests.
“This commitment is a sacred confidence in the proud, resilient, brave and honorable people in Pakistan.”
The spokesman emphasized that Pakistan had mounted a very responsible, proportionate and mature response for the sake of regional peace and stability.
While confirming the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, he emphasized the need to see the recent development in the right perspective.
In response to the firing of Brahmos missiles across several places across the international border, Pakistan was forced to retaliate against unprovoked and illegal Indian aggression under its right to self-defense, as laid down in Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Consequently, Pakistan Operation launched Bunyan-Ul-Marsoos early Saturday.
“Without a wealth of evidence and ignoring Pakistan’s offer of a neutral, transparent and credible study from international investigators, India launched several strikes during the nights 7-10 May 2025 that caused loss of innocent life, including women, children and the elderly. spokespersons.
He said that as if the serious human and material toll for missile and drone attacks on the night of 6th and 7th of May was not enough, India was further threatened regional peace and stability by launching additional waves of kills drones over Pakistan, including in the federal capital.
These drones and loiting ammunition hit several civil and military assets, inflicted further damage, and created an increased sense of uncertainty among the population. Several missiles were also fired and targeted at Pakistani air bases.
Despite the obvious aggression and persistent provocation, Pakistan exercised great restraint, the statement states. Nevertheless, it was forced to respond to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
“Despite the incessant provocations, our response avoided deliberate civilian losses and was precise, proportionate, short calibrated and obviously detained. Only the units and facilities were targeted that planned, coordinated and performed obvious aggression against Pakistan and the cold -blooded killing of its innocent civilian,” added spokes.
These goals that were clarified included Indian Airbases used to launch missile attacks on Pakistan. Urefutable evidence of this had already been shared with the international community.
He called the episode of a dangerous combustion between two nuclear armed states, and he called for deeper introspection and a holistic assessment of the international community.
