Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while chairing a federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday in Islamabad, expressed satisfaction with financial indicators while maintaining that the country has now reached a starting position.
“After defeating India in a conventional war, we now have to surpass it in the economic field. The whole nation is united and such opportunities arise only once in a century.” he said.
While discussing the budget for the next financial year, Prime Minister Shehbaz said the government and the people have had serious challenges in the last year and a half. He paid tribute to the grade for playing an important role in financial stability and urged the wealthy and influential classes to play their role as well.
He said that the ordinary man and the grade have played an important role in economic stability, and that grade has carried a significant burden in the previous budget and contributed RS400 billion to the national treasury.
Due to the victims, hard work and efforts from that grade, Pakistan has reached a position where it is ready to start, he added and questioned the wealthy and influential sections of society about their contribution to the country.
He also said that positive indicators of economic stability have arisen with a decrease in inflation and political rates, an increase in exports and a significant increase in currency reserves and it exports. It’s time to focus on economic growth in the current budget, he added.
PM said Pakistan defeated an enemy who claimed it was incomparable with Pakistan in a conventional war, and now we will also defeat India in the economic field. With determination and hard work, nothing is impossible and everyone has to work together day and night to move on.
“All institutions have played a role in financial successes, and now it is time for us to get on together. The whole nation is united and such opportunities only arise.
“We have discussed the situation with all four provinces, and we will also succeed on this front,” he said, valuing the hard work of all ministries, especially funding, with regard to budget.
PM Shehbaz also condemned the ongoing atrocities of Palestine and Kashmir and said that the brutality of Palestine is the worst form of repression in the current era, and the international community should play a role in achieving an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
He complained that innocent children, girls and Muslims are killed, and such atrocities have not witnessed ever before. He added that the people of Kashmir and Palestine will certainly achieve freedom.
PM repeated Pakistan’s full support for the Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers and sisters and said the people of Pakistan will continue to stand with them.
