Carolina Panthers, who runs back Rico Dowdle, put together one of the best games of her career as the team shocked Miami Dolphins over the weekend – and that led to a warning for his old team, Dallas Cowboys.
Dowdle ran in 206 yards on 23 bears and scored a touchdown. He also had three catches in 28 yards. With Panthers now 2-3 in the season there seemed to be a momentum building ahead of their week 6-matches against cowboys.

The fifth year that ran back looked at his former team.
“They came to tighten up,” Dowdle said Sunday about cowboys via ESPN. “I think they know for sure. They didn’t keep me there for five years for no reason.”
On Monday, Cowboy’s head coach Brian Schottenheimer responded to the race’s warning.
“It will be good to see Rico this weekend,” Schottenheimer said via Panthers Wire. “I know we’ll have to tighten up, he said. We bring our seat belts, Rico. We are tightening up. Can’t wait to see him.”

Dowdle joined the cowboys as an extinct free agent in 2020. He received only seven carrier in his first season and missed the entire 2021 season due to a hip injury.
He came back strong in 2022 – mostly appeared on the special teams when he was behind Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard on the depth card.
Finally, he got his chance to shine in 2024. He ran in 1,079 yards at 235 carrier. He scored two touchdowns.

Dowdle joined Panthers with the expectation of sharing time with Chuba Hubbard. But Hubbard has been knocked up, and once again it’s Dowdle’s time to put the work in.
