Pat McAfee, who called Canada a “terrible country” under wwes elimination chamber event on Saturday night in Toronto, continued to sound in the US’s neighbor to the north on Monday.
McAfee burned the Canadians public on Saturday night after the US national anthem was booed – a regular event at sporting events recently after the “51st State” rhetoric of President Donald Trump.
“This is the most stacked elimination chamber that WWE has ever had,” McAfee said on the broadcast of payment-per-view. “Kinda sucks that it is in the horrible land of Canada who lived our national anthem to start this whole thing.”

McAfee was ridiculed for his comments and said of his “The Pat McAfee Show” that he saw “the horrible things that were said about me.”
But it did not deter McAfee from explaining why he said what he was saying – and he still stands by it.
“Now, Canada, Listen, There have been some things that have been told me from Canadians that I assume I respect because of the passion you have for your country – which I hope you understand that I showed the same to mine,” McAfee explained on the show. “You lived my country.”

“I now understand from Canadians that they have a lot more passion for their country than I could have imagined. A lot of horrible things have been said about me and I understand it,” McAfee continued.
“I didn’t say that Canadians were terrible. I said your country was. You lived us. I said you were terrible. Let’s shake hands and move. I still love Canadians … I hope it gets settled.”
McAfee also posted on X after seeing the setback he got for his comments.
“I am very proud and grateful that I come from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States of America … Canadians have a lot of passion for their country and I understand it … You booted our country and I said you are terrible ..” McAfee wrote in his post.
