High-level session in Davos focuses on family healthcare, technology-driven solutions and inclusive development
The Pathfinder Group hosted a high-level focused session titled “Women Empowerment, Financial Inclusion & Family Healthcare” at the Pakistan Pavilion during the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, a press release said on Thursday.
The session was hosted by Dr. Huma Baqai, Senior Vice-Chairperson of the Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR) and Principal of the Millennium Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship (MiTE). Hend Alhinnawi, Managing Director and CEO of Humanitarian Tracker, was the chief guest.
The event brought together policy makers, development practitioners, academics and global experts, including Dr. Ying Zhang, founder and president of Singularity Academy, and Dr. Salma Malik, Associate Professor, Defense and Strategic Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University.
On the occasion, Alhinnawi highlighted the humanitarian and global development lens of women’s empowerment and emphasized data-driven solutions and accountability in delivering inclusive social outcomes.
Dr. Ying spoke about innovation-led entrepreneurship as a catalyst for women’s economic participation, while Dr. Malik provided a strategic perspective on women’s empowerment within the framework of national security and social stability.
