Patrick Mahomes is blaming the Super Bowl Lix Rout, promises Chiefs ‘Will Be Back’

Patrick Mahomes chose a bad time to play perhaps the worst game of his career.

Mahomes had only 33 passing yards in the first half of the Super Bowl Lix, the lowest of his career. Despite three touchdowns in the second half, it was too little late and Hans Kansas City Chiefs were blown, 40-22, by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Chiefs went after their third consecutive Super Bowl title, a race that began two years ago against the same Eagles. However, the defense of the birds had other plans.

Eagles were able to sack Mahomes six times, choose him twice (including a pick-six) and throw him out of his game.

Green jerseys were in Mahomes’ face all night. Even more impressive is that the Eagles do not flash once throughout the game.

While he did not necessarily get help from his offensive line or weapon, Mahomes blamed the harsh loss.

“Appreciate all the love and support of #chiefsking judgment. I let you down today,” he posted at X after the game. “I will always continue to work and try to learn and be better for it. Will you thank God for every opportunity he has given me.”

However, he added that the Chiefs dynasty has not been done yet.

“We’re coming back.”

Mahomes could have become the first person to win four Super Bowls before turning 30 in the NFL story, but it’s no more – he’ll be September 30 later in the year.

Kansas City was in their fifth Super Bowl in the last six seasons; They are 3-2 in these games where both losses are pretty ugly.
