Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed in a new documents that his father’s dwi arrest from 2024, which happened just over a week before the Super Bowl, was a life-changing moment for his father.
Patrick Mahomes Sr. Was arrested in February 2024 in Tyler, Texas, on a crime of DWI, the third such charge for the former MLB jug. News about his arrest came just over a week before the bosses were to face San Francisco 49ers In the Super Bowl Lviii.

“It was under that Super Bowl. It was a story and then I had to answer questions about it,” Mahomes remembered via New York Post. “I think it’s just knowing that it hurt me to know you like that you can’t keep up doing the same things.”
Mahomes Sr. Also appeared in the episode and called the incident “the most embarrassing” fight he has been exposed to.

“It hit kind of home before Super Bowl Last year when I got trouble. For him to answer questions about me, you know, was probably the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever been through in my life, ”he said.

“I called him right after … I said, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry it’s taken away from your time and focus.’ … I made a promise that he would never have to tackle anything because of drinking because of me.
Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, also appeared in the episode. She repeated her husband’s remarks and added that their children who witnessed Mahomes Sr.’s battles added to the sober reality of his actions.
“I think it finally hit him that you know,” I have my kids looking at me, I have my grandchildren now looking at me, “she said.

Mahomes Sr. Invoked to blame for the charge in August 2024 and was ordered to spend 10 days in prison, followed by a five -year probationary. He was criminal for DWI on two previous occasions, including an incident on September 12, 2008 in South Dakota and another on February 26, 2019 in Smith County, Texas.
Mahomes Sr. MLB Teams from 1992 to 2003 and were famous part of the 2000 New York Mets team that reached the World Series.
