Patrick Mahomes’ Teammate: Chiefs QB on ‘Revenge Tour’ after Super Bowl -tab

Kansas City Chiefs was unable to make the NFL story earlier this month as they fell to Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl Lix in New Orleans, 40-22.

It was a game where quarterback Patrick Mahomes was uncharacteristically off, and much of it had to do with Eagles constantly creating pressure in his pocket. Still, it was very much unlike Mahomes – pressure in your pocket or not.

So when Mahomes and Chiefs enter the 2025 season, a teammate knows that a “revenge tour” brews for the two-time MVP signal call.

Defensive End Charles Omenihu, who has a ring thanks to his performance in the Super Bowl LVIII, appeared at “Up & Adams”, where he answered host Kay Adams’ questions about where Mahomes will be in the next 10 months.

“On a revenge tour,” Omenihu replied. “Just extremely focus and take even more control over the organization. We get my boy rashee [Rice] back so it gets good with how [Xavier Worthy] have played. Hopefully we will be able to find out the rest of the pieces. “

Rashee Rice, who suffered a seasonal ending injury early in the 2024 season, could face suspension due to eight crimes he is facing from a six-car accident in Dallas, which he partly caused. NFL is waiting for the legal process to play out.

However, Mahomes and Chiefs have to love what they saw from rookie-first-rounds Xavier Worthy, who got better during the week and had a big influence on the road to another Super Bowl performance.

Kansas City will continue to build around Mahomes, but Omenihu knows that his teammate is probably still kicking himself for what happened at Caesar’s Superdome.

“He probably felt he didn’t have his best performance and that he was who he is and as the best quarterback in the league, he wants to come back and have one of the great seasons,” Omenihu said.

“So I think it will be someone who is on a mission with certainty.”

Mahomes finished the Super Bowl with 257 meters passing with three touchdowns and two interceptions, though most of these yards came in the fourth quarter during a comeback attempt that was too little late.

In the regular season 2024, Mahomes did not have his usual production, not reaching 4,000 meters, passing for the first time since he became a full -time start in Kansas City. He still went to 3,928 yards and 26 touchdowns with 11 interceptions and went 15-1 in these starts.
