PayPal has added Chainlink (Link) and Solana (Sun) to its growing list of supported cryptocurrencies, giving users of both Paypal and Venmo the opportunity to buy, keep, sell and transfer tokens directly from their accounts.
The move reflects the payment giant’s continued push into the cryptocurrency space after first launching crypto -support by 2020. The new tokens will roll out to us users over the next few weeks.
“To offer more symbols on PayPal and Venmo, users give users greater flexibility, choice and access to digital currencies,” May Zabaneh, Paypal’s Vice President of Blockchain, Crypto and Digital Currency, said in a press release.
The company, which has also launched its own US dollar -backed stableecoin, has moved last year to give its business clients access to crypto directly from their accounts in the US
