Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has drastically cut match fees for players participating in the upcoming National T20 Cup. Players in the tournament are paid match fees of 10,000 pkr (approx. US $ 35), a 75% fall from the last edition of the same tournament where the players were paid PKR 40,000 match fees.

Since then, PCBs have started expensive but necessary stadium upgrades, employed – and shortly afterwards – foreign coaches on expensive contracts, as well as five mentors of PKR 5 million a month each, as well as hosting a -day domestic tournament that increased prize money for participants Tenfold.
