Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has devised a plan to set up three separate teams of Pakistan Shaheens for practice -matches ahead of Champions Trophy.
The decision aims to give the guest teams participating in the MEGA event with plenty of practice opportunities before the tournament begins.
According to sources, these Shaheens teams will play against the teams participating in Champions Trophy, giving domestic players the chance to compete with international cricketers. It will also give visitors to hold the chance to practice before the tournament starts.
According to the plan, a Shaheens team will play practice matches in Karachi, another in Lahore, and the third will be based in Dubai.
In addition, New Zealand and South Africa, both participating in Champions Trophy, will have the chance to practice against Pakistan during the upcoming Tri-National series, beginning February 8 with a match between Pakistan and New Zealand.
Before the start of the Champions Trophy, the PCB has completed the schedule for the opening ceremony for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where he sets the stage for a magnificent and spectacular launch of the tournament.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will begin on February 19, is reportedly starting with the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony at Gaddafi Stadium is set to February 7, when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to participate as a main guest.
On February 11, National Stadium in Karachi will hold its opening ceremony, with President Asif Ali Zardari planned to be a guest of honor.
The official opening ceremony for Champions Trophy will take place on February 16 in Lahore in Hazoori Bagh, followed by a short ceremony at the venue.
