- Peacemaker has dropped some new intel about quantumed unfolding chamber
- The second season of the show reveals how the Smith family achieved the dimensional device
- Its latest episode pours cold water on a fan theory of its creation
Peacemaker Season 2 has finally revealed how the Smith family obtained by Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC) – and crushed a fan theory about its creation in the process.
HBO Max Show’s latest episode, entitled ‘Need in Say Door’, confirms how Smiths got into possession of the multidimensional device. And the truth has to be said, that was not what I expected.
Full spoilers immediately follow for Peacemaker Season 2 section 4. Turn back now if you haven’t seen it yet.
‘Behave in Say Door’ opens with a scene that has been put 35 years in the past. In that we see Auggie Smith, the family’s emotionally manipulative patriarch leading his sons – Keith and Chris – on a hunting expedition through a forest.
Suddenly Auggie discovers something moving through the dense foliage. When he sets the shot up, he fires from a single bullet based on the howl, which creatures emit, seriously harms it.
Membered by the strange Yelp said that unidentified creatures create, Auggie and his boys pursue the wounded in an open area. By tracking their prey, the trio is shocked to see a distressed, bug-eyed bipedal extraterrestrial lying on the floor with its entrance in full view.
Untilized by the foreigner’s situation or Keith, who tells him not to kill it, the Auggie creature concludes with another shot that rips his head clean of his body before dropping Keith to tell him what to do.
Seeing something unusual in the distance warns Chris Auggie and Keith about what he has seen. When the couple goes over, Chris also notices a silver, curved briefcase-like object sitting next to the dead stranger.
After picking it up, Chris resumes with his father and older brother to see what they have found. Look and see, it’s a doorway – someone standing in the middle of the forest, no less – to QUC. Cue start of Peacemaker Season 2’s wonderful title sequence when flashback ends.
Anyone who listens to DC Studios’ official Peacemaker podcast will know something if QUC would be revealed in DC Universe (DCU) TV Show’s latest chapter. On last week’s rate of Peacemaker‘S Companion Podcast, Gunn teased, we would learn more about in’ Needs in Say Door ‘.
Interestingly, under the fan-mail segment in last week’s podcast episode, theorized a curious fan that Superman Archnemesis and All-Round Genius Lex Luthor had anything to do with its creation. Based on what ‘needs in Say Door’ reveals about QUC, that’s not the case.
Still, the fact that Smiths found a portal changed to QUC and moved it to their family home what we thought we knew about its construction.
In Season 1 we were led to believe that Auggie created QUC, so who did it actually? Is the stranger – or the species it belongs to – responsible for doing so, or did they shoot it from elsewhere? And why did the foreign restriric it use it to travel to DCU?
If Auggie is not the brains behind this contrast, he also acquired the peacemaker helmets and his white dragon super drag from another dimension, or did he actually make them? And can you move the QUC portal – it can be transferred to a new place if there is an appropriate doorway and if the person moving it knows the correct order for input to the previously mentioned briefcase – an unlimited number of times, or is there a Cooldown function?
Will DCU Chapter One Show’s second season respond to any and all these queries before it ends? Who knows that but at least we have some Clarity at QUC, although it is as simple as how Smiths acquired this multiversal technology.
