- The character was last seen in this year’s Superman film
- Their appearance falls a great clue as to what could happen in MARTRA man
Peacemaker Season 2 section 6 just dropped the biggest character of the show como yet – and their appearance seems to have sown the seeds to MARTRA manPlot.
This season’s latest chapter, entitled ‘Ignorance is Chris’, includes another person we first saw in James Gunns Superman film. And in view of their presence in HBO MAX tv -original it is anything but confirmed that Peacemaker Will act as the connective tissue between DC Universe’s (DCU) first film and its 2027 sequence.
Full spoilers immediately follow for Peacemaker Season 2 section 6 and Superman. Turn back now if you haven’t seen any of them (or both) yet.
Wait, what is Nicholas Hoults Lex Luthor in Peacemaker season 2 section 6?
You read the right – Lex Luthor, alias the primary antagonist of SupermanOne of 2025’s best new films, has debuted DCU TV show.
For some viewers, this does not come as a shock, especially according to what Rick Flag Sr says about 10 minutes into ‘Ignorance is Chris’. After a tight conversation with the Argus agent Langston Fleury calls Flag SR, who is Argus’ acting director, his secretary Jessica to ask her to prepare his helicopter because he will visit a particular deployment in the Belle Rev prison.
It does not require a genius to find that this mystery individual should be lex. After all, he was jailed at Belle Reef – for 265 years, not less – after events that happened in Superman. Nevertheless, it is still a crowd-enthusiastic moment to see Luthor, the game once again by Nicholas Hoult, sit down for a phone-based conversation with flags SR via one of Belle Refes visiting rooms.
It’s no big surprise that flag SR has come to negotiate with Luthor. Given Luthor’s expertise with cross -dimensional portals and Argus’ struggles to track Peacemaker’s interdimensional unit, Flag SR and Company need all the help they can get.
Fortunately for them, Luthor is willing to help – at a price, of course. When the couple participates in a tete-a-tea, Flag SR says that in return he to help Argus gets Luthor transferred to a non-metahuman prison. Fascinated Luthor reveals that he has a scanner that will be able to detect the location of Chris Smith’s portal creation unit, but he wants his freedom in return.
Understandably, the flag says no. Instead, he hangs another carrot in front of Luthor by saying that the US government is willing to give him “an opportunity for redemption”. His interest piqued, Luthor says “I listen” before the episode goes on to other questions.
What is van Kull? And how does Peacemaker season 2 section 6 sit down for tomorrow’s husband?
Let’s deal with the first question, ERM, first, because it leads into the second.
For the uninitiated: Van Kull is a maximum security imprisonment based in metropolis. It is the same city that Superman primarily operates out of and where his civilian altar-ego Clark Kent lives and works as a reporter for the daily owl.
Van Kull is named as a prison, which flag SR agrees with transferring Luthor to help Argus. In fact, before one of the best HBO Max Shows’ latest post ends, Flag SR SR SR his Argus lieutenant Sash Bordeaux that this is where Luthor will be moved to as long as his multidimensional portal scanner works.
As for how this begins to establish the story that will play out in MARTRA manThe prospect of Luthor being transferred to a metropolis-based prison means that he and his cryptonic acknowledgment will be in the same city once MARTRA man‘s story begins.
We already know that Gunn’s next DCU chapter 1 project will see the couple becoming frenemics as they try to fight a significant threat, as a yet non-advertised enemy specified. Actually Gunn confirmed just as much in mid -September and said MARTRA man “Is a story about Superman and Lex working together”. It came a week after Gunn revealed the title of his Superman Successor who immediately had fans theorizing that it would see the duo forming a troubled alliance.
Right now, the flag has SR’s insinuation that Luthor is getting a redemption shot if he helps Argus has nothing to do with MARTRA man‘s villain. There is no indication that another world -threatening individual is on the way, so it is likely that flags are simply suggesting that Luthor can start cheating back to the good books of the US government if he complies with. However, this “Redemption” comment will have a whole new meaning when he wants to join forces with SUPES.
Even armed with the information it sounds like we are not prepared for how important this meeting with flags SR and Luthor are. Talking about the latest episode of the official peacemaker -podcast, Gunn described it as an “really important moment for not only Peacemakerbut the whole of DCU “. I assume we learn more about how crucial it is in Peacemaker Season 2’s last two episodes. Meanwhile, you need to get lowdown on everything we know so far MARTRA man.
