Before the event, Peta told Pakinomist Digital that “Tommy Tofu and his Peta friends will be right there at Nathan’s famous hot dog’s eating competition that distributes hundreds of tasty vegan hot dogs when they challenge hungry spectators to enjoy a free, flavorful fourth that is also animal friendly.”
“Vegan hot dogs are delicious and friendly, and who really want to support slaughterhouses – the word is enough – by buying what comes out of them,” Peta Executive Tracy Reiman said in a statement. “Peta urges everyone to let freedom call everyone by leaving animals in peace in July 4th and beyond.”

Joey Chestnut Reclaims Hot Dog Eating Contest Title after last year’s absenteeism by diminishing 70.5 franks
Chestnut returned to the competition after missing last year due to cooperation with a plant -based brand, impossible foods.
He looked almost as good as ever and took down 70.5 dogs and buns for a 10-minute period. It was his 17th victory in his last 18 attempts (he lost against Matt Stonie in 2015), and it was the seventh time he darkened the 70-Wiener brand.

The Peta Property Room did not compare to the protests that Chestnut put in a main lock back in 2022, but that is another appearance from the animal activist group. Last year planned PETA at “Bombard Competition’s spectators” and brought a truck to encourage fans to become vegan.
