The prominent Democrat and former US Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg approached his recent comments about the righteousness of letting biological men compete in women’s and girls’ sports.
After Buttigieg said “There are serious justice problems” about the subject of letting Trans athletes compete with women during an interview with NPR in July, the Democrat talked about the subject again during a lived live interview with Aaron Parnas. The Democrat suggested that parents who oppose themselves allow men to compete with girls to be heard.
“I think that to bring people together about this, we also have to take everyone seriously, including parents who have questions,” buttigieg said.

“People who have questions or wonder what it means … They want questions about how to make sure it’s fair and we need to take these questions seriously and meet them together.”
Former South Bend, Indiana, mayor also said he believes the question “is used to hurt” people as a political topic, and he doubled on the opinion that policies around Trans athletes in women’s sports should not be made by politicians.
“I see that this problem is used to divide. I see it used to hurt people,” he said. “It is especially hurtful for transgender people and people with transient members of their family who are witnessing themselves or people they love to be used as a political football.”
Buttigieg’s original quotes about NPR in July asked questions and criticism of some liberal and pro-trans activists as the question continues to divide the Democrat Party.
Buttigieg has joined several other prominent Democrats and media surveys that have spoken against letting men compete with women, including California’s head of government Gavin Newsom; Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass.; and HBO host Bill Maher.
An April -Report from New York Times Claims that Biden did not agree with Trans athletes who participated in the sports of women and girls.
How transgenderism in sports changed the election in 2024 and ignited a national counterculture
“According to a number of former Biden administration officials, a simmering debate remained within the administration as to whether these title IX protection should include sports,” Times reported. “One side … Maintained that there was no legal difference between letting trans students use bathrooms that are in line with their gender identity and allowing trans students athletes to play on sports teams that are in line with their gender identity.”
However, the bide was “on the other hand … who thought that the sport’s competitive, zero-sum character made them different from the bathrooms-to some transking athletes would enjoy unreasonable physical benefits over women. The most important thing, one of the officials who had this view was the bite themselves.”
ONE New York Times/Ipsos Survey Found that the vast majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, do not think transking athletes should be allowed to compete in women’s sports.
“Thinking of Transgender female athletes – Meaning Athletes who were male at birth but who are currently identifying themselves as female – do you think they should or should be allowed to compete in women’s sports? “Asked the study.
Of the 2,128 people who participated, 79% biological men who identify themselves as women said should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports.
Of the 1,025 people who identified themselves as Democrats or inclined Democrat, 67%said transkon athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.
Other data suggest that the question affected the result of the 2024 election.
