Pete Wicks shifted his focus from his divide from Maura Higgins by participating in a relaunch of an animal rights organization.
The 37-year-old star gave a touching speech in parliament about animal rights during the launch of Humane World for Animals Charity, who also participated by actors Peter Egan and Woody Norman and TV naturalist Chris Packham.
“I have seen first -hand the incredible work that Humane World for Animals does, after joining the team to investigate the barbaric fur industry in Finland and to save dogs from desperate conditions on a South Korean dog meat yard,” Wicks said.
The Strictly Star showed its support for the welfare cause of adding, “I am proud to support the tireless work of this charity to protect animals from cruelty and damage.”
The passionate speech came after Wick’s recent break with Higgins in February, according to The independent.
Higgins, who had been with wicks in the last few months after their six-year friendship, accused wicks of adultery.
Wicks’ friends, however, told Daily Mail That he was not unfaithful to higgins and wounded by her “cheating” claims.
“The truth is that Pete did nothing wrong. He didn’t cheat,” Wicks Pals told the business.
