President Donald Trump talked on Tuesday about the negotiations to bring golf back together as representatives from PGA Tour and Liv Golf has met him in recent weeks.
Trump expressed optimism that the two sides get some kind of deal.

“They have to meet,” he said. “They’ve had a lot of discussion back and forth. They both mean well and an appointment will eventually happen. I think it will happen pretty quickly. It would be nice to see the best golfers play against each other.”
The president said he played the role of broker between the two leagues and tried to help speed up the situation. PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, Tiger Woods, Adam Scott and Liv Golf’s Yasir Al-Rumayyan met last week about the opportunity to reconcile the sport again.
“They are all good people and they will find out,” Trump added. “So if I can help find out … I don’t get anything out of it. I can help them against each other and not play in two different places.”

The president was asked what was more challenging: the PGA LIFE agreement or Russia-Ukraine agreement.
“I think the PGA agreement is much more complicated,” he said with a smile, laughing from those around him.

“I think things will heal quickly,” Woods said at Genesis Invitational. “We’re going to get this game in the right direction. It’s been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years and fans want us all to play together, all the best players who play together and we go To make it happen.

Golf splinted in 2022 with the emergence of Liv Golf, which came with the support of Saudi -Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm all play in the league.
