President Donald Trump has had a busy first 50 days in office and according to PGA Tour Player Director Adam Scott, who mediates an agreement between the trip and the Saudi-supported life golf cycle, is not high on the list of priorities.
Scott and PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan met with President Trump on two occasions, the last of which was attended by Tiger Woods and Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the public investment fund in Saudi Arabia’s governor of the back The creation of life.

PGA Tour has openly praised these meetings and Trump’s commitment, but Scott said he received quite a reality check on his last visit to the White House.

“It was obvious to me very quickly when they set up the Israeli delegation right after our meeting and set the Israeli flag and the American flag and made it clear that our conversation was pretty low in the importance of what happened that day,” Scott said with a smile Tuesday ahead of the player championship.
“And really, the president had far more important things to focus on,” he continued, “and I urged him to go and do well for everyone’s sake after our meeting.”
Scott’s comments and visits to The White House Come as PGA Tour and Liv Gold remain in a standstill in the process of trying to reunite the golf world, which suffered a massive shake in 2022, after Rival Circuit removed some of the tour’s biggest stars with lucrative signing.

Donald Trump has been the ‘facilitator’ in PGA-LIV discussions, says Jay Monahan
The broken relationship between the two circuits seemed to be on repair after the PGA tour, PIF and DP World Tour signed a framework agreement in June 2023. But the parties involved could not reach any agreement until this agreement expired at the end of the year.
Trump’s commitment comes as PGA Tour seems to negotiate with PIF about a minority investor position in the new commercial PGA Tour Enterprises.
The idea is to bring the best players back on the tour without compromising the integrity of what has already been established, Monahan said this week.

“We do everything we can to bring the two sides together,” he said ahead of the playing championship. “That said, we won’t do it in a way that reduces the strength of our platform or the very real momentum we have with our fans and our partners. So while we have removed some obstacles, others remain.”
Monahan also thanked Trump again and added that their goals for an agreement involve the same principles.
“President Trump is a lifelong Golffan. He strongly believes in the power and potential of the game, and he has been extremely generous with his time and influence to help bring a deal together,” he said. “He will watch the game reunite. We will watch the game reunite. His commitment has made the prospect of reunion very real.”
