Phil Mickelson says ‘There is need and demand’ for life -golf in the midst of ongoing negotiations with PGA Tour

Phil Mickelson admitted Friday that the tensions between PGA Tour And Liv -Golf has not completely dissolved despite ongoing negotiations between the two circuits.

However, the six-time big winner remained firm in that the rival Golf League does not go anywhere because of what it offers to Golffans.

Prior to the first tournament of the year on American Earth, Mickelson appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Friday morning to discuss the sharp differences between the two circuits and how Life’s unique structure Taps in a market that PGA Tour has not been able to.

“I wouldn’t say it’s gone,” Mickelson said of the excitement. “We are growing the game globally, and PGA Tour has always been about growing the game nationally. So if you look at it like that, there is a lot of criticism that we take in the US, but if you look globally, as life golf is received, it is incredible.”

The Saudi supported Golf League launched in 2022 and was met with severe setbacks after shaking the golf world by pulling many of the tour’s biggest stars away with lucrative signing.

The broken relationship between the two circuits seemed to be on repair after the PGA tour, the Public Investment Fund in Saudi -Arabia (PIF), and the DP World Tour signed a framework agreement in June 2023. However, the parties involved failed to reach any agreement until this agreement expired at the end of the year.

Since then, President Donald Trump has been involved in the goal of Reunion of Golf.

Trump says that PGA life ‘Merge’ would be a ‘good thing’ when conversations between trips continue

“There is always a need for traditional golf and traditional competition and the historical events, but we are not appealing to the younger crowd until now,” Mickelson added. “Life appeals to a younger crowd and makes golf cool again and comfortable to look at. And when you come out and see, you have a much more relaxed feeling and people enjoy that mood.

“There is a need and demand for what life golf delivers.”

“In the end, hopefully, the two trips will merge. It will be good. I’m involved in it too,” Trump said Thursday. “But hopefully we get the two trips to merge. You have the PGA tour and the life tour. And I think it would be a good thing to have them fusion.”

PGA Tour reportedly rejected PIF’s latest bid to invest in PGA Tour Enterprises. ESPN reported Friday with reference to sources that the trip rejected the investment bidding of $ 1.5 billion.
