Fears arising from the possible privatization of PIA have increased insecurity among employees and incidents of staff disappearing abroad continue.
Senior airman Asif Najam, who arrived in Canada on November 16 aboard a PIA flight from Lahore, reportedly went missing from his hotel.
He was scheduled to return to Lahore on November 19. The plane took off without him. Several PIA employees have previously disappeared abroad under similar circumstances.
The PIA spokesperson said action will be taken against the employee.
