Islamabad:

The administration of cash -stranded Pia has decided to give a pay rise to its about 7,000 employees, considering rising inflation.

According to a statement, the PIA board’s PIA board in principle approved to give a cadre-wise swelling to the airline’s employees in relation to inflation.

The employees had received their last pay rise four years back and face financial problems due to a steep increase in inflation.

The Pia spokesman noted that the total number of employees in the National Flag transporter is now less than 7,000 and that the number of employees is falling rapidly.
