Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suspended its flight operations to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai due to escalating security concerns in the golf region.
The development comes after Iran performed a “devastating and powerful” missile attack on American Airbases in Qatar and Iraq in retaliation for US strikes in its nuclear places.
According to Pia spokesman, the decision was made in the light of the “warlike situation” that unfolded in several golf states. Pia assured that operations would resume when conditions return to normal.

“Given the regional conflict, we have canceled flights to affected destinations for the security of our passengers,” a Pia spokesman said Monday. “We are sorry for the inconvenience, but our passengers’ security takes precedence over all other questions.”
Pia’s Department of Reservations has begun to meet affected passengers on alternative flights, the airline said. The airline also requested all affected travelers to keep in touch with the Pia Call Center for timely updates and travel planning.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan ambassaden advised citizens in the UAE to remain in safe places and avoid areas near military installations.
“In the light of regional development, Pakistani citizens are strongly encouraged to stay away from military zones and seek shelter in safe areas,” a statement states.

Iran’s top security body issued a statement that said it has used the same number of bombs used by the United States when they hit Iranian nuclear facilities, according to Reuters.
No US staff were killed or wounded in Iran’s attack on Al Udid Air Base, the largest US military installation in the Middle East, two US officials told Reuters. The officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said the attack was carried out using ballistic missiles with short range and medium.
