Pindi ordering extension of Sahulat Bazaars

Rawalpindi:

The number of Sahulate bassars over the Rawal Pindi division will be increased to give citizens’ essential raw materials at reasonable prices.

President over a meeting, Rawalpindi instructed commissioner Amir Khattak all Deputy Commissioners to identify appropriate locations to create these bazaars and get the required NOCs without delay. He emphasized the timely setup of markets to ensure the availability of affordable goods to the public.

The Commissioner also ordered Price Magistrates to remain active in the field and ensure transparency in all operations.

He called for strict action against those involved in creating artificial inflation, stating that giving relief to the people is the highest priority of the government and all available resources should be used for this purpose.

The meeting attended Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema, additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Nazarar Ali, Further Deputy Commission Financing and Planning of Ramisha Javed, Co Municipal Corporation and other officials.

Officials informed the Commissioner of Price Control Operations performed over the past 24 hours in various tehsils in the Rawalpindi district.

A total of 4761 inspections were performed in Gujar Khan, 3850 in Kahuta, 1500 in Kallar Syedan, 5064 in Rawalpindi Cantt, 5230 in City, 2948 in Saddar and 4995 in Taxila.

During these operations, 65 cases of over -charge were reported. Authorities imposed fines on RS279,500, sealed seven stores and arrested 13 individuals.
