- Pixel 10 -Units have crashed and freezed randomly
- Reports suggest the problem is now resolved
- Google seems to have addressed the question as a major incident
If you’ve picked up one of the Google Pixel 10 phones since they were launched at the end of August, you may have experienced a pretty random and frustrating series of accidents – but it seems that Google has now managed to solve the problem.
According to the Android police and its founder Artem Russakovskii, a “high priority” event was declared internally with Google as engineers encrypted to tackle what became a pretty big problem for a significant number of users.
Based on Russakovskii’s sources, Google now believes the problem is solved thanks to a server-side-fix-what means no pixel 10 software updates are needed. However, we may not get a public recognition or explanation.
If you have experienced these bugs yourself in the last few days, they must now be cleaned up without any action needed from your side (though a reboot is always useful). However, it is not a good ad for Best Pixel phones.
What went wrong?
Suddenly, my Pixel 10 Pro XL has become knee -capable of an unknown problem that I suppose I’m caused by Google Play services where many apps freeze and not load. It’s really bad. I restarted several times and the problem comes back within minutes. Is there anything else? pic.twitter.com/9VA2JFQC29October 12, 2025
We still don’t know much about what went wrong here, but we know what the effects were: Several apps that crashed as soon as they were launched, and set an alarm dialogue or freeze at seemingly random times.
It is not clear how many Pixel 10 devices were affected, but a reddit wire on the subject shows that it was rather widespread and affects several different models. In some cases, it seemed to be tied to an October software update for pixels.
One solution that improved cases for some users was to uninstall Google Play Services – a part of Android, but this brings its own problems with it – and the correction was apparently only successful for a short period of time.
Google at least seems to have prioritized the problem and treated it quickly – to declare it internally as an incident, which means that an interruption or reduction in service quality – although not much preferable at all.
