PM announces the Ramadan pack; 4 million households to receive financial support

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the Ramadan package under which 4 million households across the country will receive financial assistance.

According to Express News, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who spoke at the preliminary ceremony for the Ramadan package in the federal capital, revealed that this year four million families (about 20 million people) RS 5,000 per year. Household through a digital wallet.

He thanked Allah and said, “This year, inflation under Ramadan is lower compared to previous years. The government has allocated a significant amount of 20 billion RS to the Ramadan package, which will benefit 4 million Pakistani households.”

The prime minister also mentioned that the amount awarded last year was $ 7 billion, but this year it has been increased by 200 percent to 20 billion RS.

Earlier in February, the Punjab government had launched the project “Nigehban Ramazan” in support of low-income families by delivering RS10,000 each to three million deserved households. Distribution began on February 25, relieved through Pakistan Post.

Bank of Punjab (BOP) in Lahore issues 500,000 salary orders daily to Pakistan Post, which will be sent as insured letters to the eligible families throughout the province. The entire operation, including reservation, processing and special delivery, has been organized under the supervision of Pakistan Post’s Director General, Sami Ullah Khan.

To ensure a smooth execution of the project, the Punjab government has introduced a temporary ban on leave and transfer of postal staff until the end of the project.

Previously, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the Ramadan and Eid Nutgun Packages for deserving families this year.

Barrister Saif, special assistant to KP’s Minister of Information, confirmed that the provincial government will expand the package in the previous year to support over a million families throughout the province. Each eligible family receives RS10,000 as part of the relief efforts.

The funds are transferred through banks and Easypaisa in a transparent manner before the 15th of Ramadan. The provincial government will cover the bank and the payment taxes to ensure that the full amount reaches the recipients.

Meanwhile, the moon for the Holy Month Ramadan 1446 Hijri was not seen anywhere in Pakistan. As a result, the first quick (Roza) is observed on Sunday, March 2nd.

The central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee convened in Peshawar on Friday under Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad. After the meeting, the committee held a press conference to announce that the moon had not been seen in the country, Express News reported.
