Baku:
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Baku on Sunday for a two-day official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Upon arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Senior Azerbaijanian officials, including first Vice Prime Minister Yaquub Abdulla Oglu Eyyubov, Deputy Secretary of State Yalchin Rafiyev, Ambassador to Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farkhadov, Pakistan Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin and Senior Dignitarian.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold high -level meetings with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and other senior Azerbaijan officials.
Discussions will focus on further strengthening bilateral connections, expanding trade and investments, improving cooperation in the energy sector, synergizing efforts to deal with climate change, elaborating defense cooperation and promoting cultural exchanges.
Several Agreement Memorandumes (Mous) and agreements are expected to be signed, which further strengthens the partnership between the two countries.
As part of his engagements, the Prime Minister and the Azerbaijanian leadership will also address Pakistan-Azerbaijan Business Forum, scheduled for Monday. The forum will bring together business leaders from both countries to explore opportunities for joint ventures and trade and investment opportunities and emphasize collaboration on business-to-business (B2B).
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share a prolonged band of fraternity, supported by shared values and ordinary hopes. This visit emphasizes both nations’ obligation to elaborate on their bilateral ties, improve economic cooperation and promote regional cooperation.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high -level ministerial delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Trade Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of Investment and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Developments Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister for Information and Radio and TV -Rearing Ataullah Tarar and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
When he reached Baku, Prime Minister Shehbaz tweeted: “Landed in the beautiful town of Baku, where the past and the future converge in a vibrant embrace. The city looks even more enchanting under a blanket of snow!”
PM added, “Looking forward to productive discussions for further strengthening the deep rooted bonds between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. We are also seeking to improve trade and investment ties.” App
