Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on the Afghan preliminary government to immediately empty terrorist organizations and ensure that Afghan Earth is not used for any kind of terrorism, expressed Express News on Sunday.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz spoke with journalists in London and shared that his recent visit to Belarus was fruitful.
PM noted that Pakistan is blessed with large mineral resources and that he visited a factory in Belarus that manufactures mining equipment. He expressed hope for improved cooperation in this sector as well.
He announced that an understanding of Belarus has gained to provide employment opportunities for 150,000 talented Pakistani adolescents, saying that the selection process will be implemented purely on profit.
In Afghanistan, the Prime Minister repeated that it is a nearby and brotherly country and that both nations must strive to live as good neighbors instead of burning conflict.
He said Pakistan has repeatedly conveyed to the Afghan temporary government that Afghan Earth under the Doha Agreement may not be used for terrorist activities. Unfortunately, he added, groups such as TTP, ISKP and others continue to operate from Afghanistan and has performed deadly attacks on innocent Pakistanis.
He emphasized that the victims of Pakistan’s citizens, armed forces, police and other law enforcement authorities in the fight against terrorism will not go in vain.
He offers sincere advice to the Afghan leadership, and urged them to act quickly against these terrorist groups and ensure that Afghanistan is not used as a base for attacks on others.
As for the overseas convention, the prime minister said it has officially begun and is a larger and historic event. He welcomed overseas Pakistanis and praised their contributions to the country. He noted that they work tirelessly to lift Pakistan’s global image and send billions of dollars into transfers every year.
PM Shehbaz also shared that transfers from overseas Pakistanis have increased significantly this year. He said the Convention presents an excellent opportunity to engage in them, listen to their legitimate demands and respond immediately where possible.
