PM directs the completion of industrial policy

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday directed the early completion of industrial policy to increase production and provide sustainable solutions to the challenges facing the industrial sector.

The chairman of a meeting on industrial development, he emphasized that the policy must be prepared in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.

The Prime Minister said that equipped local industries with a skilled workforce and modern technology in accordance with international standards was a top government’s preaching.

During the meeting, recommendations for the development of national industries were presented to the Prime Minister.

Vocational education

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed to adapt all business and technical education offered throughout Pakistan with international standards to improve global employment in the country’s youth and increase foreign transfers.

Chairman of a high-level meeting on the operation of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), the Prime Minister emphasized the need for globally accredited education programs to strengthen Pakistan’s skilled workforce and increase its demand in international markets, a Prime Minister’s office news announcement said.

NAVTTC officials informed the Prime Minister on recent initiatives, including mapping of business institutions nationwide and the activation of the national technical and vocational education data management system.

WB Country Director

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a farewell meeting on Thursday with the outgoing rural director of the World Bank in Pakistan, Najy Penhassine.

During the meeting, the prime minister expressed the best wishes for Najy Bone Hassine and asked for his health and success.

“You played a key role in strengthening the partnership between Pakistan and the World Bank, for which we are grateful,” said the prime minister as we talked to the pone.
