Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation Wednesday with the United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who discussed regional stability and bilateral tapes after ceasefire with India.
According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed heartfelt gratitude to the UAE for its diplomatic efforts to help step down the recent crisis in South Asia. He praised the constructive role of Uaes in promoting peace in the region.
“The United Arab Emirates have always stood at Pakistan,” said the Prime Minister, confirming that Pakistan remains obliged to peace in South Asia. “It is in this spirit that we agreed on a ceasefire understanding with India,” he added.

While renewing Pakistan’s decision to maintain an understanding environment, PM made it clear that the country would defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
He also emphasized that Pakistan would never allow the Indus Waters Treaty to be challenged, repeating its importance as a binding agreement.
PM noted the hot and fraternal bonds between Pakistan and UAE and said that bilateral cooperation – especially in economics and investments – had improved significantly this past year. He confirmed his commitment to transforming the relationship into a mutually advantageous financial partnership.

In response, President Al Nahyan Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and greeted a ceasefire to understand India. He confirmed UAE’s support for peace and stability in South Asia.
May 10, in a television address, recognized Prime Minister Shehbaz the United Arab Emirates for his contributions to mitigate tensions and play a role in the ceasefire with India, which was broken after US President Trump’s intervention.
India had also targeted Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Rahim Yar Khan District Pakistan’s Punjab Province Facility, which is largely considered a symbol of Pakistan-Uae friendship.
Pakistan, UAE signs more appointments to increase bilateral ties
Last month, Pakistan and UAE signed a number of memorandum understandings aimed at improving bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including culture, trade and consular affairs.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and UAE -Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed to Mous: One to promote cooperation between the Ministry of UAE and Pakistan’s cultural department and the other for the establishment of a joint committee on consular affairs.

In addition, both leaders witnessed the exchange of a mou between the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The agreement establishes UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council, aiming to improve trade and investment relationships.
