Meanwhile, Israel has confirmed that it has accepted a US-broken ceasefire proposal with Iran after mediation efforts led by US President Donald Trump, according to a statement from the Israeli government.
Netanyahu thanked Trump for his support during the escalation that credited the US administration to support Israel’s military attitude and help neutralize what he described as “the Iranian nuclear threat.”
However, Iran has refused to accept any formal ceasefire. In a television briefing, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi rejected reports that Tehran had accepted the US Truce.
“There is no such agreement on our part,” Araghchi said, describing the claims as “propaganda” and repeating that Iran reserves the right to defend its sovereignty in the light of foreign aggression.
Iran maintained that it would stop strikes if Israeli attacks stop.
